JAWAHAR KALA KENDRA was established by Department of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan, to preserve and promote performing and non-performing art forms of Rajasthan. It focuses on reviving traditional art forms, sustenance of handicrafts, and keeping alive folk art and culture.
Based in Jaipur, the cultural centre is located within an awe-inspiring structure modelled on the Vedic Navagraha Mandala, nine planets, concept. It houses a folk museum, open-air theatre, indoor auditoriums, galleries, and studios for print-making and sculpture, making it a unique and vibrant arts venue in Rajasthan. The Kendra also collaborates with national and international agencies to host artists and performers from across India and all parts of the world.
