Soumik Nandy Majumdar presently teaches at the Department of History of Art, Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. He did his Graduation from the same deparment and Post-Graduation from Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University of Baroda with specialisation in History of Arts. His teaching areas majorly include Indian Traditional Arts, Modern European Arc and Chinese and Japanese Art. He is currently working on the Doctoral Thesis on 'Visual Perception as an essential tool of Art Education'. He writes regularly in both vernacular (Bengali) and English for various journals. He is especially interested in writing for the young and uninitiated readers.
